Café A Brasileira is located in Largo do Barão de São Martinho, parish of São José de São Lázaro and São João do Souto, city of Braga, northern Portugal.
One of the oldest and most storied cafes in the city, having celebrated 100 years in 2007.
This cafe is located on the corner of Rua de São Marcos, visitors can enjoy its unique coffee, but also because it is a passing point for residents and visitors to socialize.
In the building we can see the decorative plasterwork on the colonnade of the facades with themes alluding to coffee, the image of the "Brazilian woman" topping the arch, the coffee letters located over the service counter, gouache paintings in art deco style displayed in the rooms on the upper floor.
Glass cups with nickel-plated metal saucers were reintroduced to serve bagged coffee, which still sells and serves ground coffee using its own machine.
Outside the café, visitors can enjoy two large terraces overlooking the arcade and the beginning of Avenida da Liberdade.
