Largo do Paço, in Braga
 
The Chafariz dos Castelos is located in Largo do Paço, in the city of Braga, North of Portugal.

The square is surrounded by buildings of the Paço Episcopal Bracarense, except for the south side, which is limited by Rua do Souto.

Currently in this square we find the Rectory of the University of Minho, the Galeria do Paço (cultural space and official store of the University of Minho) and other services.

The fountain was built in 1723 (in the first half of the 18th century) by order of Archbishop D. Rodrigo de Moura Telles

The fountain is based on a twelve-sided polygonal socket, with three steps, a polylobed tank with a column made up of a sculptural group of putti holding a hexagonal cup with six spouts at the apexes in the shape of castles connected by a wall, and at the top it has a three-story tower with a statue crowned by an iron armillary sphere under a patriarchal cross.

This square features a very elegant fountain that beautifies a small square where there are well-preserved historical buildings.
