Fountain or fountain at Campo das Hortas, in Braga

This ornate fountain in Campo das Hortas is located in front of the Cunhas Reis Residence and is located in the square of the same name in the parish of Sé, in Braga, northern Portugal.

It is a Mannerist-style fountain, with a pyramidal system that slims in height, with a galvanized column, with two overlapping bowls and a coruché-type top (it is the pyramidal or conical top of the fountain).

In 1594, Archbishop Frei Agostinho de Jesus ordered his favorite master mason, Manuel Luís, to build a grand and decorated granite fountain at the eastern end of Campo de Santa Ana (current Avenida Central).

In the 19th century it was placed in Praça do Comércio and in 1914 it was transferred to its current location.
