Largo de Santiago, in Braga
The Palácio dos Falcões is located in Largo de Santiago in Braga, Northern Portugal.
It was built by Francisco de Meira Carrilho, canon of the Cathedral of Braga, in 1703.
The palace was purchased on November 24, 1886 by the Portuguese state to house the Civil Government of Braga.
It currently houses the facilities of the Braga Public Security Police.
This Palace is described as a U-shaped plan, with slightly protruding arms, facing the rear façade.
The volume is horizontal, with three floors, and different coverages in hipped roofs, on the central body and three on the sides.
The facades are plastered and painted white, with a base, a frieze separating the registers, stacked corners and cornice finishes with iron rings, under the eaves.
The main facade faces N., with two registers, with three panels defined by a pair of Tuscan pilasters.
