The Characteristics of Rua de São Marcos in Braga

Rua de São Marcos is a historic street where you can find many old buildings that have been restored but maintain the original structure, that is, granite stone abounds on the facades, walls decorated with tiles on others, balconies decorated with vases of flowers, an abundance of windows and terraces on top of the houses.

Rua de São Marcos is a centuries-old place with a lot of history told by the buildings and at festive time it is always decorated, that is, during festive seasons the street has a festive carpet on the floor with a certain color that identifies the type of event occupying the entire street (the purple color symbolizes Easter, the red color Christmas, and the balloons refer to the festival of São João de Braga)

On this street there are several commercial stores such as: clothing stores, goldsmiths, an old record store, a barbershop, a luggage and wallet store, a children's clothing store, a store that sells balls of wool, an optician's store, a pharmacy, bicycles for rent for tourists, an orchard and several cafes with terraces.

Here on this street the Casa dos Crivos stands out and in the background the Church of Santa Cruz.
